In Italy it is almost impossible to find a physical shop that sells material for practicing Unihockey. The only solution is the network. Here are the stores we tried!
The best online shops (in our opinion) where you can find everything for floorball
This is a small selection of online shops and websites that we as a team have tried over time. We liked some more, others less: it is a completely subjective evaluation based on our tastes and our experience as Italian floorball players.
Let's start with one of the most famous and used (at least from Italy). The site has several domains, divided by geographical areas. It has a wide choice of all types of equipment: the variety and brands available compensate for the slightly higher than average prices of products such as shovels, grips and various accessories. In addition to hockey equipment, we also purchased sneakers and we can say we are satisfied. Shipping usually takes 3 days and is free above €120 (with each order a free cuff, t-shirt or ball).
Despite its spartan and unintuitive style, this site stands out for its very fast delivery times: a cue that we ordered in the morning arrived the afternoon of the next day (shipping cost €12.90)! Furthermore, there is the possibility of combining any type of blades with the purchased cue. Promoted.
Straight from Finland, this website with an unpronounceable name is dedicated to real professional floorball players. As with the previous one, also in this shop there is absolute freedom to combine blades and cues, with an extra "surprise": their exclusive "Taylormade LK" editions are available in the store, already pre-curved (one of our players tried it and was very satisfied).
However, we were a little disappointed by the delivery times: one of our orders took 5 (working) days to ship despite the delivery being expected in 1-3 (working) days at a cost of €15.90.
Let's move on to Eastern Europe for two sites that are actually one large store. These very kind Slovakian guys offer a shop that is not as well-stocked as other more well-known websites, but with lots of really convenient promotions and seasonal sales. Furthermore, through the chat it is possible to have direct contact with them and agree on personalized discounts for your team. Shipping is on time and is complimented with small gadgets (bracelets or key rings).
On this German site, two things immediately struck us: the very convenient weekly discounts and above all the "stick finder" on the home page. Thanks to a practical and complete interface it is possible to find the most suitable cue for you: just select height, direction, type of curvature and degree of elasticity and that's it. Highly recommended for anyone who is trying to purchase their first stick!
Recommended especially for goalkeepers, this Austrian site offers material that is a little different from just the shops, given that there are also products for ice hockey. Among accessories and clothing, we found the products of the Freez brand very cheap. Punctual shipping and fairly stocked outlet section.
Not just specialized websites: floorball is also on these famous online shops.
For those who want to start playing and don't have many expectations, the famous French chain of sports shops also has a section dedicated to floorball. Unfortunately, as it is not very widespread in Italy, purchases can only be made online and the brands offered are minimal. The only advantage that should not be underestimated is in-store collection.
The most famous online store in the world is unfortunately not a friend of professional floorball players. All it takes is a simple search and it's immediately clear that the only thing you can buy are children's cues without lines and school kits. There are also some accessories (cue holders, passes, protective goggles), but the prices are still high.
Dedicated to those who want to wear floorball even in everyday life, this online showcase offers a lot of themed t-shirts and sweatshirts: the quality of the t-shirts is very good and the ironic and creative prints last over time. Each product can be customized by color and size, but not only. Once you have chosen the design you can also use it on cups, aprons and many other accessories. There are many seasonal discounts and always 30% for orders over 5 pieces!
