Spartak Milan, still chasing their first victory in the Italian Floorball Championship, faces Viking Roma in a match that tests character, clarity, and mental fortitude. With key moments, encouraging moments, and a thrilling finale, the match tells much more than just a summary of a sixth matchday.
A bitter Sunday morning for Spartak Milano. At 10:00 a.m., at the FonteRomaEUR Sports Center, the sixth match of the Italian Floorball Championship took place, ending with a resounding 13–4 victory for Viking Roma. The game followed a familiar pattern: a strong start, a power outage in the second period, and tense nerves in the third. The scores (2–1, 4–0, 7–3) faithfully reflect the outcome of the match.
The Milanese team, last in the standings and still seeking their first win of the season, nevertheless scored four goals thanks to Brambilla, a brace from Zinni, and a goal from Fornari. Zinni, who also provided an assist, was named MVP of the match for an incredibly intense performance.

Viking Roma vs Spartak Milano 13-4

First half. Spartak started well and stayed in the game.
Despite the early start and the long journey, Spartak took to the field with a surprisingly positive attitude. Orderly pressing, good aggression, and a couple of well-constructed transitions gave hope for a balanced match.
At the 11:32 mark, Milan's determination was rewarded: Davide Brambilla found the equalizer with a precise shot from the edge of the area. The first half ended with the Vikings ahead, but Spartak seemed mentally focused and still in the game.
Second half. Missed penalty and Vikings dominate.
The game changed in the second half. Right off the bat, Viking scored three goals that swept the Milanese team's morale, leaving them unable to react immediately. Spartak Milano's number 9 sealed the second half in the 32nd minute and 2nd minute. Davide Fornari missed yet another penalty in a very unfortunate season from the spot, dashing any hopes of a comeback for the Milanese team.
From that moment on, the Vikings took control, also taking advantage of Spartak's disciplinary difficulties. Riccardo Ripamonti continued to rack up two-minute penalties (three in total for the entire game), and every power play conceded turned into an opportunity for the Romans. The period's 4–0 score was merciless and crippled the Milanese team.

Third half. Nervousness and confusion on the pitch.
The third period was a free-for-all. Spartak Milan lost composure, allowing huge spaces, and Viking Rome—an experienced and clinical team—thanked them, scoring seven goals in the final period alone.
Saving the Milanese team's honor was a sensational Luigi Zinni, who scored in the 49th and 59th minutes, also adding an assist. He scored a long-range goal with a precise lob that fooled the Roman goalkeeper, and a stealthy power-play goal. His performance was a mix of anger, pride, and skill, especially after the harsh red card he received the previous weekend. Davide Fornari also scored late, finishing off a fine move by fellow player Davide Brembol Brambilla, finding at least a small consolation, making the score 13–4.
Zinni MVP: Leadership, Redemption, and Heart Beyond Obstacles
Spartak Milano's best player is undoubtedly captain Luigi Zinni. Two goals, an assist, plenty of running, and a true leadership attitude in a very difficult match. He's the embodiment of a team that, despite the difficulties, is trying to cling to the season.
The standings remain critical: six games, zero wins, and still last place. However, this morning in Rome also revealed some positive signs on which to build the future.
Good intensity in the first half,
growing synergy with the players from Serenissima,
an MVP in great form like Zinni.
Obvious problems remain, however:
too many mental lapses,
avoidable penalties,
third-period blackouts,
difficulty scoring in key moments.
To bounce back, Spartak will need to rediscover consistency, discipline, and confidence in their abilities. Floorball teaches us that momentum can shift suddenly. The first success in the Italian Championship still seems a long way off, but with the right spirit it could come when you least expect it.
